Session: LinkedIn Secrets: How to Stand Out to 1 Million Tech Recruiters

Why are all your colleagues being contacted by tech recruiters while your inbox is empty? This hands-on workshop provides insight into optimizing your LinkedIn profile to change that trajectory.

According to Earthweb, “58 million companies are listed on the LinkedIn platform, and 87% of recruiters use it to scout new employees.” Based upon a database of 30 million profiles, career expert Zippia estimates there are over 210,000 technical recruiters in the U.S.

In this 45-minute workshop, Monique Montanino will provide 10 actionable LinkedIn tips to become a tech recruiter attraction magnet.

Whether you're an individual contributor, manager, or an experienced tech executive, learn how to unleash the power of LinkedIn to make you stand out to tech recruiters.

Key Takeaways

  • • Understand how the LinkedIn app ATS (applicant tracking system) software works
  • • Alert recruiters that you are open to network and new career opportunities
  • • Learn how to identify and promote your top skills for job postings
  • • Uncover your LinkedIn social selling index score

Bio

Monique Montanino began her tech sales and marketing career in Dallas, Texas, before migrating to Seattle, Washington, as a salmon.

Her book Clicks, Tricks, and Golden Handcuffs: 5-point Roadmap for Tech Executives to Land Big-Impact Roles debuted on Amazon in 2021. She’s been a featured conference speaker at WomenTech Network, Women in Tech Summit (WITS), and Women in Tech Texas, with hundreds in attendance.

The author wore her golden handcuffs for 18 years at two Fortune 500 companies—lured by cash bonuses, stock options, pensions, and the promise of retirement insurance. It allowed her to retire early, at 55 years old, as a technology sales executive.

Currently splitting her time between Seattle and Austin, Monique is the founder of Resumé Tech Guru, where she collaborates with technology executives on their job search journeys. She is a certified executive coach and obtained her BBA from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from St. Mary's University in San Antonio.

You can access her monthly blog posts at www.resumetech.guru or connect with her on LinkedIn for tech exec career advice.
