Session: Bridging the Innovation Gap: Software Challenges in AI Accelerator Co-Design from Concept to Deployment

This talk will be an overview of the challenges of building the AI accelerators that are in extensive for generative AI, recommendation systems, use by openAI, Anthropic and other generative AI models that are in every day use.

Key Takeaways

  • HW/SW co-design is essential for building efficient, scalable AI accelerators-optimizing both together achieves much better results than working on each in isolation
  • Close collaboration between hardware and software teams leads to more innovative and production-ready AI systems
  • Advanced software techniques-like quantization and memory optimization-can dramatically boost performance and efficiency for large AI workloads
