Holly Shelton at ŌURA, Chief Product Officer of Software: Women in Tech Global Conference 2025 Speaker Interview

    Motivation to Speak

Are you excited to speak at the Women in Tech Global Conference and what motivated you to join our community of 150,000 women in tech, minorities, and allies?

I am thrilled to be a part of the Women in Tech Global Conference alongside many other incredible women. I was motivated to join the community as this event creates a powerful space that brings women in tech together, allowing us to share experiences, celebrate achievements, and discuss how we are driving innovation and leadership within the industry. The opportunity to connect with such a diverse and accomplished community is incredibly energizing.

    Background and Inspiration

Share with us about your background, your journey in tech, and what inspired you to develop your career in this direction?

My previous experience includes a wide range of roles across the health and wellness and technology industries. As someone who values the intersection of each, I have always sought opportunities that align with these passions. My current position as Chief Product Officer at ŌURA represents a perfect convergence of these interests, allowing me to work on a product that makes a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Why is the topic “Women’s Health Reimagined: The Power of Wearable Technology” important to you?

Historically, women’s health has been a deeply underserved community in the digital health tech space. At ŌURA, we prioritize changing this reality, and we continue to make substantial investments in women’s health features and research. Illuminating how wearable technology is evolving to empower women to understand, monitor, and manage their health with personalized insights is extremely important to me. Technology unlocks immense opportunities to help women better understand their bodies, and it has the potential to transform women's healthcare by providing data that can complement the clinical experience.

Who would you advise to attend the Women in Tech Global Conference and why?

I would recommend any woman in tech looking to learn, build confidence, and gain industry insights attend this event. For women not directly in tech, this conference can also be beneficial, as it can enhance understanding and encourage more collaboration across industries. Whether someone is just starting their journey or is a seasoned tech professional, there is something to be learned for everyone. It's also an incredible networking opportunity to connect with peers who understand the unique challenges and opportunities for women in technology.
